“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart.”
— Carl Jung
Many people experience shame as a painful emotional state, but shame is not only a psychological experience. Research in interpersonal neurobiology and trauma studies shows that shame also affects the nervous system, the body, and the subconscious mind.
When experiences of criticism, rejection, trauma, or emotional neglect occur—especially early in life—the brain learns to interpret certain situations as threats to safety or belonging. These experiences can activate the amygdala, the brain’s threat detection center, and trigger patterns of fight, flight, freeze, or collapse.
Over time, these responses may become deeply ingrained in the nervous system. People may experience chronic self-criticism, emotional withdrawal, anxiety, perfectionism, or people-pleasing as the nervous system attempts to avoid the painful experience of shame.
This is why healing shame often requires more than insight alone. Lasting change involves working with both the mind and the body.

My Approach:
Neurobiology, Somatic Therapy & Depth Psychotherapy
Healing emotional wounds often requires more than insight or talking about problems. Many patterns such as shame, anxiety, trauma responses, and relationship difficulties are rooted in deeper emotional experiences that affect both the brain and the body.
Modern research in interpersonal neurobiology and trauma-informed therapy shows that experiences of stress, rejection, criticism, and trauma can activate the brain’s threat response system, particularly the amygdala and limbic system, which regulate fear, safety, and emotional memory.
When these responses repeat over time, the nervous system can become conditioned to react with patterns such as:
• self-criticism
• emotional shutdown
• hypervigilance
• people-pleasing
• perfectionism
• anxiety or emotional overwhelm
These patterns are not simply personality traits. They are often nervous system adaptations developed in response to past experiences.

Somatic Therapy and Nervous System Healing
Somatic therapy recognizes that emotional experiences are stored not only in thoughts and memories but also within the body and nervous system.
Many individuals carrying unresolved shame or trauma experience physical sensations such as:
• tension or tightness in the chest
• heaviness or collapse in the body
• numbness or disconnection
• chronic stress activation
• difficulty relaxing or feeling safe
Through somatic awareness and nervous system regulation techniques, individuals can begin to notice these responses and gradually shift out of long-standing patterns of survival.
As the nervous system becomes more regulated, many clients begin to experience:
• increased emotional stability
• improved self-confidence
• healthier relationship boundaries
• greater self-compassion
• a deeper sense of inner calm and connection

Embodied Resilience: A 6-Week Somatic Healing Intensive
Chronic stress and unresolved trauma don’t just live in memory — they live in the body. When the nervous system remains in survival mode, healing requires more than insight. It requires regulation, integration, and embodied practice.
This six-week live online program is designed to help you gently restore nervous system balance using clinically informed somatic tools. Through guided experiential work, psychoeducation, and practical mind–body techniques, you’ll learn how to:
• Reduce hyperarousal and shutdown states
• Increase emotional regulation capacity
• Release stored stress patterns
• Strengthen resilience from within
• Reconnect with a grounded sense of self
Each week includes a 90-minute live session combining:
• Nervous system education (polyvagal-informed)
• Somatic regulation exercises
• Guided hypnotic or imagery-based integration
• Reflective practices for daily embodiment
This is not about reliving trauma. It is about building capacity, stability, and internal strength.
